Christian Education Certificate

Program Code: D-XTEDU-C
Degree Designation: Certificate
Department: Divinity School
Website: divinity.duke.edu/academics/certificates/christian-education

Program Summary

The Divinity School offers a certificate in Christian education within the MDiv (residential and hybrid) and MA curriculum. This certificate benefits persons seeking to practice as church educators, teachers, college chaplains, youth workers, or health care workers. Since educational ministry is rightly understood as organic to the church’s ministries of outreach, worship, mission, and nurture, persons called to parish ministry will find the certificate equally beneficial in preparing them for congregational leadership.
